WhatsApp for Windows Phone Allows You To Trim Videos and Share PDF files
As most of you already know, the developers of WhatsApp have announced that by the end of 2016, their application will no longer support Windows Phone 7.1 and other “old” operating systems.
The new WhatsApp version that has been released for Windows Phone comes with some new features and we’re pretty sure that it will make many owners of these devices very happy.
The WhatsApp 2.12.344 is the latest version for Windows Phone and it allows the users to share PDF files. There are rumors which say that more document types will be supported soon (such as .doc, .txt, .xml etc). At the same time, the latest WhatsApp version allows you to trim videos before you can share them with your friends on this popular messaging mobile application.
The addition of the video trimming feature is also in line with many other features that the developers of this application have added recently. For example, another new feature that the WhatsApp application has received a few versions earlier is the ability to compress the size of a video file before you send it, because the file size limit is 16MB.
We remind you that there are rumors which say that the Video Calling feature will be added soon to the WhatsApp application for Android, iOS, Windows Phone 8.1 and more. However, these rumors have not been confirmed yet by WhatsApp, but we think that the developers have realized that in order to keep up the pace with other mobile messaging applications, they will need to bring this feature to their application as well.
HINT: Unfortunately, the new WhatsApp version 2.12.344 is not available for the devices that run on Windows Phone 7.8 and below. If you own a device that runs on Windows Phone 7.8 or below, we suggest you to start thinking about getting another device or soon enough, you will no longer be able to use this application on your handset.
