Google has partnered with many tech companies along the years and created many Nexus smartphones but one of them stands out the most. Nexus 6P is the smartphone we are talking about. This device is the result of Google and Huawei’s collaboration and used to wear the title of being Google’s flagship. Sadly, Pixel XL stepped in and the stole the spotlight from Nexus 6P.

However, even though Pixel XL represents Google’s vision of a “perfect” Android powered device, Nexus 6P is still hanging on. It’s already known that Google wants to get rid of the Nexus devices but the Android parent is having a hard time getting rid of Nexus 6P. Customers are often not sure if Pixel XL or Nexus 6P deserves their money the most. Well, right now we’re going to clear that issue by comparing the two against each other and see which one has the upper hand.

Huawei Nexus 6P vs Google Pixel XL: Display Technology

Nexus 6P falls closely next to the phablet category with its 5.7 inch AMOLED full HD 1440 x 2560 panel. Even better, the display features a rather large pixel density of 518 ppi. Considering its size, the amount of pixels it features per inch is truly outstanding. Although, Nexus 6P’s large display is a double edged sword because surveys are showing that tech customers are more inclined towards acquiring a 5.5 inch panel.

As everyone knows by now, Google learns from its mistakes and that’s why Pixel XL ships with a 5.5 inch AMOLED display. The Android parent wanted to make sure that all odds are in Pixel XL’s favor and that’s why it has equipped it with a 5.5 inch display. Worth mentioning is that Pixel XL’s display is basically the same as Nexus 6P’s display in terms of resolution, the only difference is that Pixel XL features a slightly larger pixel density of 534.

Huawei Nexus 6P vs Google Pixel XL: Hardware Performance

Both high-end smartphones are powered by a Qualcomm processor, but there’s a big difference though. Nexus 6P is fueled by an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor while Pixel XL is equipped with an even more impressive quad-core Snapdragon 821 chipset.

Huawei Nexus 6P vs Google Pixel XL: Conclusion

Surprisingly, the two devices can be considered close equals in the display department. What’s interesting is that Nexus 6P is able to provide the same pixel resolution as Pixel XL but on a bigger panel. However, we have to give it to Pixel XL because of its high-end processor. In the end, both smartphones can be considered as a good purchase the decision falls on the customer.
