Google Nexus 7 now officially available on Google Play India Store for Rs. 15,999

Well it did take it a long time, but finally Google has finally ‘officially’ launched its Nexus 7 tablet in the Indian market. Back in November ASUS launched its own variant of the device in India for Rs. 19,981 and Google is now selling it for a much affordable price of Rs. 15,999.

At the moment Google only offers the 16GB Wi-Fi variant of the device and there is no information whether other variants will be available in the market anytime sooner or later. This device however seems is definitely a huge competitor to the 16GB Wi-Fi iPad Mini which is currently priced at Rs. 21,900.

The Google Nexus 7 is an ASUS manufactured tablet which is powered by a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, it has 1GB of RAM, runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and sports a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels.

The tablet is available for the aforementioned price via the Indian Google Play Store and it is the first hardware selling on the Indian Play Store, which hints that others may soon follow. The Nexus 7 is expected to start shipping from April 5.
