LG Optimus Vu, Smartphone Tablet Hybrid Revealed

LG has officially revealed a new smartphone-tablet hybrid device which will be announced at MWC 2012. This upcoming device is known as the LG Optimus Vu which is much similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note, however this one sports a 5-inch IPS display.

The device will be powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and it will also include an 8 megapixel rear camera, LTE Support, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 32GB built-in storage and a 2,080 mAh battery. LG has also confirmed that the device will be just 8.5mm thick.

Unlike most Android devices, the Optimus Vu will have an aspect ratio of 4:3 with a 1024 x 768 pixels resolution. While the device will ship with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, LG will later release an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update as it is already noted to be under work.

The device will first hit the Korean market and will later make its way to other parts of the world. The arrival of this device for the Indian market is yet to be announced, but needless to say it will eventually make it to the market.
