A new update to Facebook’s code will now allow third party application developers to access some more information from the users. This new change will let developers fetch your phone number as well as your address, but of course it will need your approval.

Facebook has mentioned that the user will need to give explicit permission before the application can access your information, but the problem here is that users do not really go through the permissions which they grant these applications and blindly allow them to fetch the information. This has not been such a major concern before, but now since developers will be able to fetch such information the user will need to be very careful while using Facebook applications.
Privacy has always been a major issue on Facebook and sharing such personal information can result is some major attacks on your account.
