A new report filed by PCMag suggests that the latest and upcoming version of Google Android, famously known to be tablet optimized and called Honeycomb may require some seriously powerful processing. According to their report Bobby Cha, a managing director with Korean consumer electronics firm Enspert Android Honeycomb will require a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor to run properly.

Not just that but Mr. Cha also mentioned that Honeycomb devices will run on tablets with displays measuring at least 7-inches diagonal and a minimum resolution of 1,280 x 720 for the tablet centric offering. Later on he has also mentioned that his company is working of FroYo, Gingerbread and Honeycomb devices and that Honeycomb will be shipped to manufacturers towards the end of January.
Google has not yet responded to this, but it looks like Android Honeycomb may initially takes some time to make its way to smartphones.
